A SOLUTION
We are proud to announce that we have developed a 6 x 9” clear pocket bag that will be supplied in packs of 1000 and matches our ambition to bring cost-effective but environmentally friendly solutions to the dental trade. These bags share the same strength and characteristics of normal polythene bags.
RECYCLABLE MATERIAL
Our bags not only contain the vital element that make them biodegradeable but they are also made from 30% recycled material. This results in the bag
being slightly opaque but this does not affect the performance. All of our bags carry the LDPE 4 logo and should be recycable but please check this with
your local authority.
BIODEGRADABLE
The D2W logo shows that these bags are degradable when they come into contact with oxygen, they will start to break down and ultimately be a more responsible way of dealing with single use plastics. Many scientific studies do offer differing opinions on the use of D2W and we would encourage you to come to your own conclusions.
THE INITIATIVE
The DLA has developed a ‘Green’ standard called the ‘Greener Dentistry Initiative’. The idea is that eventually all members of the dental team can be part of this initiative and it will identify environmental sustainability in UK dentistry, from prescription to manufacture, through to fit.
